The title of the article may sound a bit off-topic, but the fixes covered in the article can apply equally well to Janelle's problem. Microsoft has created a couple of helpful Knowledge Base articles that may have bearing in this situation: If you run the Office installer program, you can reinstall the support files that Word needs to run the spelling check. If these settings are correct and you still have the problem, then it is possible that your dictionary file has somehow been deleted. Also, the bottom two check boxes should be cleared.
